Our students in "Azerbaijan Greening and Landscape Construction" OJSC institutions
At the invitation of the OJSC "Azerbaijan Greening and Landscape Construction", the students of the 4th year of forestry of the Department of Natural Sciences of the School of High Technologies and Innovative Engineering of the West Caspian University visited the Caspian Sea Water Desalination Complex and Greening Department No 4.
The students were informed that in order to solve the problems of water shortage and desertification that may arise in the future, in 2010-2013, a No. 4 high-tech greening department and a desalination complex of water from the Caspian Sea were created within the framework of "Azerbaijan Greening and landscape construction" OJSC.
During the visit, the students learned about the processes of growing seedlings in the laboratories of the two institutions, the methods of irrigation with a modern drip water system, as well as the desalination processes of the seawater to drinking water level.
It was also reported that desalinated water is currently being used in this venture to irrigate planted green acres in surrounding areas where irrigable water is limited, and nurseries where planting material is grown. At the same time, in order to establish new forests in the open areas of the forest fund and restore the existing forest areas in the greening department, the cultivation and adaptation of root crops are carried out by propagating and adapting them in the laboratories.
According to the agreement, it is planned to organize joint training and seminars, as well as the realization of industrial experiences of students in these companies.
